Participants learn the origins and philosophy of Alternative Response and how it drives the case management process when working with Alternative Response family's in the field. Topics include: origins and philosophy of Alternative Response, what are the similarities and the differences between Alternative and Traditional Response; recognizing exclusionary and R.E.D team criteria; the R.E.D. Team and "Notice to R.E.D Team"; response time and initial contact protocols; unable to locate or refuse services; SDM assessments, tools, and documentation that is required when completing an Alternative Response Comprehensive assessment; the six Protective Factors; and AR ongoing case management and case closure.
