Child Protection & Safety (CP&S) In-Service Training offers continuing education and professional development opportunities to Child and Family Services (CFS) staff, Tribal Child Protective Services (CPS) worker, and any other person designated by DHHS. This training is developed and administered jointly by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services–Division of Children and Family Services (NDHHS-DCFS) and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Center on Children, Families, and the Law (UNL-CCFL).

This training counts toward satisfying the annual 24 hours of required professional development, minimize travel, and support the outcome of having a well-qualified and trained CFS workforce. This training incorporates industry best practice, and emphasizes application to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each CFS Specialist.

The CP&S Resource Library is a collection of handouts and other training materials. The purpose of the resource library is to provide easy accesses to documents in a centralized location. You will need to enroll yourself into the CP&S Resource Library initially to access the related documents within the In-service courses offered below. PLEASE VISIT THE CP&S RESOURCE LIBRARY NOW and choose to self-enroll.
