Participants will learn about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual/Agender, Two-Spirit youth as well as case management skills to better support LGBTQIA2-S+ youth involved in the child welfare system. Topics include an overview of terms and pronoun usage, experiences of LGBTQIA2-S+ youth in the child welfare system, best practices for serving LGBTQIA2-S+ youth, and LGBTQIA2-S+ resources
The minimum number of participants needed for this unit is 5, maximum is 25. Consult your supervisor if you are interested in this unit.
